Cherry tree photoWelcome back!
I hope you all had a relaxing and enjoyable Easter break, making the most of the lovely sunny spells and the amazing display of blossom on the Harrogate Stray. (One of the best places to see blossom in the UK according to www.countryliving.com). In Japanese culture, cherry blossoms are admired for their delicate beauty and short lifespan, which serves as a reminder to appreciate the present moment. It symbolises new beginnings which seems appropriate as we enter this new summer term. This is an important term for our year 11s as they start their GCSE exams and we all send our good luck to them.

Thank you for the positive return to school. We’ve had a great start to the term, especially with our renewed focus on punctuality. Good timekeeping is a valuable life skill, and we appreciate everyone’s efforts in making this a priority.

Healthy School NY Logo SilverOn another positive note, we are proud to announce that our school has been awarded the Silver Healthy School Award! This achievement recognises our ongoing commitment to creating a supportive and healthy environment, with a strong emphasis on mental well-being. Well done to everyone who contributed to this success.

This week, we held our Year 9 Parents' Evening—a great opportunity for staff and parents to connect and support our students as they progress through the year.

Looking ahead, our Year 10 students will begin their work experience placements next week. We hope they have a rewarding time and make the most of this opportunity to gain insight into the world of work.

LettersWe know they’ll be brilliant ambassadors for our school—let’s continue to show our community just how fantastic our students are!
