WEEKLY BULLETIN

This week, Harrogate High School has been abuzz with activities. It has been British Science Week this week and our Science Department has been active with a series of practical experiments. However, after 21 years of dedicated service, the science department has had to say goodbye to Mr. Hilton, our esteemed Science Technician, who has retired. His contributions to the Science Department have been invaluable, and he will be missed. We extend our heartfelt wishes to Mr. Hilton for a long and happy retirement.
We are proud to announce that Miss Addy, our Head of Design and Technology, represented Harrogate High School at the OCR Design & Technology and Art & Design Forum held at the Young V&A in London last week. Her presentation underscored our school's commitment to excellence in design education.
In celebration of World Book Day, goups of Year 7 students visited Waterstones Bookshop. The students toured the store, enjoyed a reading session, redeemed their book tokens, and savored hot chocolates. Mr Coleman praised the students' exemplary conduct and engagement during the trip.
This week also marked the commencement of The Brilliant Club for our Year 9 students. These students will be working with Matthew Smith, a PhD student from Manchester University. They will work towards a final essay exploring Matthew's PhD specialist - "New ways of working through collaboration." We look forward to seeing how the students develop and thrive in the coming weeks.
As we approach International Happiness Day on 20 March, I wish all our students and staff a happy and fulfilling weekend ahead.
Mr Gill
Head of Academy
